French Green Clay is a fine pale green powder which consists of iron oxides, kelp, and other decomposed plant matter. It is widely used in skincare, hair care and health treatments, due to it's detoxifying properties and rich mineral content.  

It can be used as a face and body masque as it will draw out toxins and impurities. Mixed to a paste with a little water, it can make an effective scrub. Boasting antibacterial properties, it can help reduce inflammation cause by acne and help heal insect bites and irritation. It can be used as a body wrap.

It can be used as a scalp treatment to remove scalp flakes and possibly boost hair growth. Mix into shampoos or use as a treatment.

It can be mixed with water to form a masque or added to your formulas, such as bath bombs or body scrubs. Essential oils and/or botanicals can be added. 

Due to it's powerful ability to draw out toxins and cleanse, the clay can sometimes have a slightly drying effect on the skin, so use with caution until you are sure it suits your skin.
