Ho Wood Essential Oil:
- Camphor gives this oil cooling properties
- A mild analgesic and relaxant
- Can relax and encourage sleep
- Relaxes and uplifts the mind
- Effective insect repellent
Ho Wood Essential oil has a sweet, woody scent similar to Rosewood. It has largely replaced Rosewood, due to it's endangered status. It is used in the perfume industry for it's natural linalool content, the natural version being preferred over the synthetic. It is known to promote feelings of peace and calm and when applied topically, it has a cooling effect on the skin, due to it's camphor content.
It acts as a mild analgesic and muscle relaxant and makes an interesting ingredient for bath bombs, especially those designed to relax and enhance sleep. In aromatherapy, it is used to soothe inflamed skin conditions, relax and uplift the mood. It is also an effective insect repellent.
