Babassu Virgin Oil is produced in the Amazonian rainforest and is cold pressed from the Babassu palm nut.  It is similar to coconut oil and contains the same vitamins and fatty acids. However, it does have a lighter consistency than coconut oil, and is more easily absorbed by the skin, leaving little greasy residue.  It is thought to boost cell turnover and is soothing to dry and chapped skin.

Cosmetically it deeply moisturises the skin, has anti-microbial properties and is a natural anti-inflammatory, due to it's high lauric acid content. It contains a high level of vitamin E, which helps to increase cell regeneration. 

This wonderful Rainforest oil is perfect for aiding chapped lips, sunburn and other burns, cuts and cracked skin. It helps skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and rosacea and soothes redness and inflammation. It is often used to sooth bug bites and stings, along with rashes.
