Carrot seed carrier oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the carrot plant. It is different from carrot seed essential oil which is steam distilled. The carrier oil can be used directly on the skin, unlike the essential oil, and it's anti-inflammatory properties can be helpful in the case of acne prone skin. It is rich in beta carotene, fatty acids and vitamins C and E and the beta carotene can encourage an even suntan and provide a small level of protection from the sun.

It offers rejuvenating properties and can be included in skincare and haircare products and is most suitable for dry, ageing mature skin along with combination skin types. It nourishes the scalp and encourages hair growth, while hydrating hair ends.
